SPRINGFIELD, MO — Austin Davis is the latest player to sign a letter of intent with Missouri State for the 16-17 campaign. Last year, Davis spent time with the Cheyenne Stampede of the Western States Hockey League and the L/A Fighting Spirit in the NA3EHL. He also played 42 games with the Texas Jr Brahmas in the NA3HL during the 2014-2015 season.
The Augusta, Maine native describes himself as a three zone player who plays with physicality and speed. He models his game after Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins.
The 5’10 forward has a goal of winning a WCHL championship and ACHA Division I National Championship during his time at Missouri State.
We asked Austin what he can bring to the Bears to make him a fan favorite and he responded, “I will add some physical and gritty play and add some goal scoring as well.”
While at Missouri State, Davis will be studying business. “I am a good student athlete who cares as much about academics as I do hockey.”
Other than hockey, Davis, just enjoys being active outside.
