SPRINGFIELD, MO — Jordan Bratton is the latest to sign a letter of intent with the Missouri State Bears hockey team. Bratton has played his last two seasons with the St. Louis Selects (AAA) of the NAPHL and the Odessa Jackalopes (Junior A) of the NAHL.
The St. Louis, Missouri native led the St. Louis Selects in scoring with 29 points in 24 games in his first year of U-18 AAA hockey. Also in 2014-2015, Bratton was selected for the NAPHL 18U All-Star game as well as the 2015 NAPHL Top Prospects Tournament.
Bratton will be majoring in business while attending Missouri State.
“I chose to Missouri State because of the great players already on the team, the coaching staff, the Missouri State campus, and the city of Springfield. I am extremely excited to be a Bear.” said Bratton.
The 5’10 forward describes himself as playing a similar style to Jaden Schwartz of the St. Louis Blues; a power forward with speed who can score goals and make plays happen at crucial times.
Other than earning a bachelor’s degree in business, Bratton wants to win a Division I National Championship.
