SPRINGFIELD, MO – – The Missouri State Bears have added some leadership by signing the captain of the Butte Cobras (WSHL), Chadd Lounder.
Lounder fell in love with the program and the Missouri State campus when he arrived in Springfield for the Division I Prospect Camp last April.
The Hickory, Pennsylvania native has tallied 32 points and 116 PIMs in his last two seasons with Butte.
Lounder brings hard work, commitment and leadership to the Bears who are looking to earn their way into the top 10 in the national rankings in the ACHA for the 2016-2017 season.
The 5’10 forward models his game after Ryan Callahan of the New York Rangers. “I’m going to bring a hardworking and classy attitude on and off the ice. I look forward to being a big part of the community,†said Lounder.
Currently, Lounder is undecided about what he wants to study at Missouri State, but is leaning towards business or sports management.
“My personal goals are to become the best student athlete possible while at MSU and to maintain a high GPA and be a big contributor to the team. Team goals I look forward to achieving while at MSU is a national championship and nothing less,†said the former captain.
Outside of the rink, Lounder enjoys golfing, hunting, and fishing.
