SPRINGFIELD, MO — Brendan Shuck commits to Missouri State University after spending his 2015-2016 season with Lakeshore Canadiens of the GLJCHL and the LaSalle Vipers of the GOJHL. In 16 games with the Canadiens, Shuck posted a .886 save percentage and a 3.48 GAA.
The 5’11 goaltender says he likes to model his game after Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals. “I’d say I have a style that mixes technique with athleticism.”
Shuck chose Missouri State because of the beautiful Springfield campus and the opportunity to play a high level of hockey that was relatively close to home.
The St. Louis, Missouri native will be studying pre-law while attending Missouri State. His personal goals are to maintain all A’s and B’s in his classes as well as win a National Championship at the Division I level.
When Shuck is not in the classroom or on the ice, he enjoys watching Netfilx, playing NHL 16, and working out.
